New Deputy Registrar Officially Open for Business
Local and state officials today
gathered for a ceremony to officially open the new Deputy Registrar location in
Belpre. Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Registrar Mike Rankin, Belpre Deputy
Registrar Jessica Shutts and representatives from the Belpre Chamber of Commerce
each had a hand in helping to celebrate the official opening of the new and
improved Belpre Deputy Registrar location.

New Deputy Registrar to Officially Open in Ceremony with Chamber of Commerce and
Ohio BMV
Official ribbon cutting ceremony for
the new Belpre Deputy Registrar location which offers an upgraded facility
including additional parking and a larger building. Officials will also use this
opportunity to kick off the regional ID R KIDS initiative.

Euclid Deputy Registrar
License Agency Now Open
The Ohio Bureau
of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Deputy Registrar Agency located at
22312 Lakeshore Blvd., Euclid, is now open for
business. The Deputy Registrar location has been closed
since July 19, 2008. The BMV apologizes for any
inconvenience the temporary closure may have caused for
our customers.

Canton Deputy Registrar
Moving to New Location
The Ohio Bureau
of Motor Vehicles Deputy Registrar agency located at
1017
30th Street Northeast, in Canton will be closing at the
end of business (noon) on Saturday, August 23, 2008, and
re-opening at its new location,
907 30th Street Northeast,
Canton, at 8 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2008.

Vehicle Registration Procedure Change Postponed
The Ohio Bureau
of Motor Vehicles (BMV) is bumping back the implementation
of measures to reduce the possibility for fraudulent motor
vehicle registrations to allow businesses owners and
motorists additional lead time to understand the process.

New One-Stop Shop Now Open in
North Canton
Local and state
officials today gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to
open the new Stark County one-stop shop service location
in North Canton, Ohio. Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV)
Assistant Registrar Jeffrey Coleman, Ohio State Highway
Patrol (OSHP) Lt. Eric Sheppard, Stark County Auditor Kim
Perez and Stark County Clerk of Courts Nancy Reinbold each
had a hand in cutting the ribbon to celebrate the
beginning of the business partnership between the
agencies.

Euclid Deputy Registrar
License Agency to Temporary Close July 19, 2008
The Ohio Bureau
of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Deputy Registrar License Agency
located at 22312 Lakeshore Blvd., Euclid, will be

remain closed for several weeks.

Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles
Eliminates Social Security Card Requirement for Those
Renewing Driver License, State ID
Effective this week, individuals who are renewing a
current Ohio driver license, Ohio commercial driver
license (CDL) or state identification (ID) card will no
longer be required to present a Social Security card at an
Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) license agency for
verification at the time of renewal.

Ohio BMV Advises Public to
Renew Driver License Ahead of Time
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles is advising those with
driver licenses due to expire soon to renew them well
before the deadline because of national mainframe issues.
The national Driver Registry (NDR), through which all
driver license applications must be checked, has been
experiencing delays and temporary service outages.
This problem is affecting all deputy registrar license
agencies in Ohio and license agencies throughout the
United States and Canada.

The Ohio
Bureau of Motor Vehicles today announced that they
have expanded their online customer services to
include a feature that allows drivers to view an
unofficial copy of their driving record.

Deputy Registrar Business
Opportunity
The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles issues requests for
proposals for the selection and appointment of deputy
registrars to operate license agencies throughout Ohio.
License agencies provide driver's licenses, ID cards,
vehicle registrations and other services on behalf of
the BMV. Deputy registrars are independent contractors
and are selected on a competitive basis.
