| Wildcards |
- Use * to specify zero or more unknown characters.
- Use ? to specify exactly one unknown character.
- Examples:
- "john*on" will return "JOHNSON, JOHNSTON"
- "mar?" will return "MARK, MARC" but not "MARCUS"
|
| Sounds Like (Name fields only) |
- Prefix your search with ~ to force a "sounds like" lookup.
- Examples:
- "~win" will return "NGUYEN, WINN, WYNN..."
- "~mark" will return "MARK, MARC..."
|
| Exact Spelling |
- By default all Name fields return results which "begin" with the term entered and other fields return those which "contain" a substring. Prefix your search with ! to force a lookup of the "exact" term entered.
- Examples:
- "!john" will return "JOHN" but not "JOHNSON"
- "!marc" will return "MARC but not "MARCUS"
