The Ohio Department of Taxation accepts individual income tax and school district income tax payments by credit card or electronic check online. We also accept credit card payments by telephone. These tools may be used when a balance is due, to make an extension payment, an estimated payment, or in response to billing and assessment notices.
Both the online and telephone options are offered by the State of Ohio in cooperation with Official Payments Corporation. Please note that Official Payments Corporation charges a convenience fee of 2.5 percent (or $1, whichever is greater) on the amount of the transaction. The State of Ohio does not receive any portion of this fee.
For either option, the credit card transaction will appear on your credit card statement. The tax amount and convenience fee will appear on separate lines.
Review the information below and choose the best option for your payment.
- Ohio ePayment
